ABSTRACT
The continuous development of China’s urban rail transit industry plays a key role in easing the pressure of urban transportation. However, due to its high investment and cost, a long time to make profits, and its public welfare characteristics of the government, urban rail transit has been a long-term loss. We analyzed the development status and operation benefits of Wuhan urban rail transit, found out the existing problems of the operation and management, and put forward feasible strategies and suggestions to promote the sustainable development of Wuhan urban rail transit.
