ABSTRACT
Japanese elements play very important roles in the fashion field. Fashion designers are addicted to mysterious characteristics from Asian culture. Given the influence of ukiyo-e, a Japanese art genre, in the Western art field, it has been considered as the most representative painting art. Ukiyo-e paintings were the genre paintings that depicted the focus of life. The narrative perspective of amorous feelings of the world, the uninhibited but delicate painting style, and the unique color application are all the inspirations for this collection. The purpose of this research is to seek a new breakthrough in ukiyo-e’s expression form by extracting, reforming, and combining the traditional patterns with anti-traditional fabric. Then efforts are made to try to apply them in the comfortable and leisure clothing of street style. The key of this collection is the combination of corduroy and color patterns.
