ABSTRACT

According to the concept of OBE engineering education, a “flipped classroom” has been established for the experimental teaching of “material analysis and testing methods” under the CDIO mode. An experimental teaching design of the teacher-student interaction is pioneered. Multidimensional experimental comprehensive performance assessment systems basing on student-centered and experimental teaching quality supervision mechanism are formulated. These systems rely on reformed experimental teaching content, opening laboratories and online experimental teaching platforms, and focusing on cultivating students to master the operation of large precision instruments, such as scanning electron microscopes, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopes, and the method of analyzing the microstructure of materials. The comprehensive abilities of students, including hands-on practical ability, innovation, analysis and testing are greatly improved, laying a solid foundation for the graduation design of the senior year.
