ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the fact that Chinese President Xi Jingping, on July 1, 2016, proposed that China must remain confident in the path, theories, system, and culture of Chinese socialism, of which cultural confidence is the foundation of the 95th anniversary conference of the founding of the CPC. Therefore, the establishment of cultural self-confidence is one of the main tasks of talent cultivation in colleges and universities in the new era, especially for students majoring in Translation and Interpreting. This paper presents the current situation of the cultural education in BTI (Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting) from the cultural confidence viewpoint. It also attempts to find the causes and gives suggestions from a talent program, curriculum, and teachers in order to cultivate students’ correct cultural values and sense, which can make a contribution to their inheritance and the spreading of Chinese culture around the world.
