ABSTRACT

In order to realize the cultivation of various abilities of students, we have experienced the project-driven teaching and diversified assessment methods for the Mechanical Engineering Materials course. The project-driven teaching model is constructed based on the international CDIO higher engineering education, with students as the main body and curriculum projects as the basis, theory and practice are organically combined, and knowledge, ability, and quality are integrated. The project report and self-evaluation, experiment, attendance, comprehensive classroom performance, quiz, and homework are all included in the curriculum evaluation system. Such a diversified assessment method is helpful to improve the students’ practical ability and comprehensive quality. The teaching reform and experience shows that the students’ active learning and ability training are both achieved.
