ABSTRACT
The geometrical growth of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and the huge development of rich cloud services have driven the skyline of a new computing model, edge computing, which processes the data at the edge of the web. Edge computing has the ability to label the factors of battery life constraints, response time requirements, data safety privacy, and bandwidth cost savings. In this chapter we discuss the opportunities and benefits in edge computing. Also, this chapter covers the associative edge to shape the content of edge computing. At last, it discusses several problems and chances of edge computing.
