ABSTRACT
Computer vision technology has made significant advances in recent years and is principally used to build a communication device capable of digesting, evaluating, and making decisions in the same way that people do. It also includes various traditional methods used for the same and innovations in artificial intelligence as well as advancements in deep learning and neural networks. Deep learning is a very successful technique to computer vision that is faster and easier to develop and apply. However, because of the vast amount of data and processing capacity, training the model takes longer. Cloud computing solves this problem. The calculations are done in the cloud to decrease the time and hardware necessary to assess a model. However, the reaction time for a cloud-based system is high. EdgeAI is employed in the computer vision to prevent this issue. This chapter gives an overview of object detection in EdgeAI and in the computer vision.
