ABSTRACT

Recent advancement in nanotechnology has allowed the development of green strategies for the synthesis of silver metal nanoparticles. These green silver nanoparticles have emerged as a powerful tool in the field of sensing due to their unique optical properties. In this chapter, we discuss the green approach toward silver nanoparticles synthesis, their surface plasmon resonance property, and their application for the detection of different environmental pollutants including heavy metal ions and several organic moieties.
