ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on sources of information on taxonomy, diversity, ethnobotany, and phytopharmacology of Premna serratifolia L. The review on the taxonomy of P. serratifolia revealed much perplexity due to much variability among specimens collected from different regions. The neutraceutical prospects of P. serratifolia are discussed from an Ayurvedic perspective. The pharmacological properties of many traditional herbal formulations of P. serratifolia have been explored for health benefits.
