ABSTRACT

The forest ranges in Morni Hills and Raipur Rani from Haryana, India were selected for ethnobotanical and medicinal studies. The local people in these regions treat most of their ailments using medicinal plants due to their inherent traditional knowledge. Many of the common health problems (viz., cough and cold, bleeding, wounding, various kinds of fever, pain) and many other diseases (stone, piles, cancer, etc.) are cured by traditional herbal remedies. Salty water has great importance for locals and nearby people, who use it to cure stones, urinary diseases, skin diseases, digestive tract disorders, and cancer. Several medicinal plants have been used to cure different genito-urinary ailments (including infertility, gynecological disorders, urinary disorders, menstrual problems, etc.). This chapter focuses on the evaluation and exploration of traditional medicine knowledge in India. However, further studies related to their efficacy and clinical trials are still demanded.
