ABSTRACT

The unique properties and applications of conductive polymers (CPs) are the reasons for the wide development of these polymers. According to the recent investigations, the major advanced applications of the CPs, including energy (harvesting and storage), biomedical applications, sensors, and remediation, have been swiftly developed through the CPs due to their unique chemical compositions and structures. The future of the CPs belongs to the CP-nanocomposites, which have the following important parameters: low cost, green (benign), high performance, mechanically durable, chemically durable, biocompatible, stimuli responsive, and multifunctional. The consolidation of these advanced concepts will provide the ideal CP-nanocomposites in the future.
