ABSTRACT

Conducting polymers have good electrical properties and can be used for many energy applications with low cost, better processability, and good mechanical properties. The lightweight property of the conducting polymers makes them an efficient material for many energy applications and can be used as an alternative for other inorganic conducting materials. The development of new nanostructured conducting polymers has great attention on current research to overcome the increased energy demand of the current economy and to irradiate the disadvantages of conducting polymers. In the case of nanostructured materials, 1D nanomaterials such as nanowires, nanofibers, etc. have great importance due to their high surface area, high aspect ratio, high conductivity, etc. Unique properties of nanofibers of conducting polymers make them a competent material for many energy applications.
