ABSTRACT

OVER THE LAST FORTY plus years, technological advancements have systematically replaced human beings with electronic and digital controls to improve the efficiency of equipment, systems, and processes. Unfortunately and over time, most of these electronic minders have been left unattended and unmanaged. Changes to management structure, necessary to ensure that the machines are controlling as designed, have generally not been instituted. To achieve and remain at design efficiency levels requires that the right information be generated, analyzed by experts, provided to the appropriate management personnel in an understandable format, and acted upon appropriately by management.
