ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to the implementation of Web Based Building Monitoring and Control Systems (BMCS) in the Mission Critical building application. Mission Critical buildings include structures such as Data Centers, Financial Institutions, Telecommunications Facilities, and Hospitals. Items that will be discussed in this chapter include; web based monitoring and control, Human Machine Interface’s (HMI’s), benefits of Ethernet system architectures, Systems Integration, Fault Tolerant Design, advanced BMCS commissioning for Mission Critical systems, and real life examples of typical pitfalls in Mission Critical BMCS systems. This chapter will give the reader the ability to understand the complexities and solutions involved with a web based BMCS in Mission Critical buildings.
