ABSTRACT
It is Important for energy managers to have a high level of knowledge and understanding of complex energy management systems. This chapter is intended to help energy practitioners with some basic informational and educational tools make decisions relative to energy management systems design, specification, procurement, and energy savings potential.
This chapter provides an evaluation of several products that exemplify the current state of practice of Energy Management, Control, and Information Systems (EMCIS). The available features for these products are summarized and analyzed with regard to emerging trends in EMCIS and potential benefits.
