ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to explain the terminology used when discussing different major types of net centric architectures. We classify the various architectures and technologies used to implement web sites. Additionally, we discuss some of the trade-offs considered when selecting various technologies. The emphasis here is to help one become a more informed client rather than an expert in web design.
