ABSTRACT
This chapter highlights the key functional requirements of an Enterprise Energy Management System (EEMS) and describes how this functionality can be used to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve energy planning and cost allocation, all while improving or maintaining building comfort. Appendices to this chapter contain case studies showing the value of using interval data from the building automation system (BAS) as a tool to diagnose and monitor facility operations.
