ABSTRACT

Energy information systems (EIS) are the best way to understand the effects of energy consumption rates for any large campus of facilities. Developing a custom EIS is the most effective way to assure the ability to report meaningful, accurate and timely energy consumption information. This chapter explains a streamlined web-based software development methodology that works especially well for an EIS. The components of this development methodology are presented in the order in which they should be pursued by the developer.
