ABSTRACT
The energy and feeling of the transition into a new era was everywhere. The chapter develops some unique ways of handling the communications that make it compatible with BACnet specifications. It also develops methods to maintain the highest bandwidth in the industry, even after several hops to provide users greater flexibility in extending network range without wires. The chapter discusses the company that will flourish as Honeywell is fully committed to Tridium's vision of the Niagara Framework as a pervasive, open software platform for building automation and device-to-enterprise applications. Growing the Niagara open community is of benefit for both Honeywell's Comfort Point Control and Enterprise Integrator product, both of which provide a valuable bridge to bring their legacy systems into the new era. The chapter concentrates on providing a complete plan and lose that quarter baked thinking to provide new era connections to all of the pieces.
