ABSTRACT
Electric motors are the rotating machines that drive today’s industrial manufacturing. A typical manufacturing facility may operate from hundreds to thousands of motors. The U.S. Dept. of Energy has reported that electric motors use over half of the electricity consumed in the United States in a given year.
