ABSTRACT
The steam system optimization (generation, distribution, use, and condensate return) offers a large opportunity to comply with the new levels of energy efficiency standards. Superior design and improved maintenance practices are the two main sources of savings in steam systems. Increased competition no longer permits an industry to survive with energy waste that could be eliminated.
