ABSTRACT
The first case study involves a machine shop. This shop utilizes different machines (i.e., grinders, honers, presses, injection molding devices, and a precision cutter) to produce various aircraft components. The facility was provided overhead 120/240-volt, three-phase, four-wire open-delta service. (See Figure 23-1.) The distribution feeder circuit serving the facility is described in Figure 23-2.
