ABSTRACT

Nanomaterials (NMs) have engrossed many researchers over the past decade due to their changes in properties such as biological, physical and chemical when compared to respective bulk materials. The classification of NMs is basically dependent on their chemical composition sources, sizes and shapes. A variety of nanoparticles have also been prepared by using various sources as well as different methods. The major requirement of nanoparticle synthesis is their large-scale production that can be used in many industrial applications. This chapter covers various possible types of nanoparticles, their classification and even discusses about their different methods of synthesis in laboratory as well as industrial levels.
