ABSTRACT
This review framework briefly explains the background journey of telemedicine, telehealth, and e-health in the digital world and brings revolutionary features in the medical domain to serve effective therapeutic results across the world. The telemedicine era fulfills patient needs such as long-term care, specific demand, and time-saving followed by overcoming various barriers among the healthcare expertise and consumers such as geographical issues and cost mainly. Online web-based disease management programs have performed the enhancement of health awareness, easy use of services, medical resources increment, and increased look into care among the population for a long time. The telephonic discussion was the first step into the telemedicine world. With time change and technology advancement, a new digital era of telemedicine, that is telecommunication such as video conferences and interactive chats appeared. This domain not only makes people life easier but also serves numerous diversities such as enhancing research data, ensuring standard healthcare via online database and tools, diagnosis by computers, online prescription filling, and effective pharmaceutical dosage information. Health can be served from urban to remote areas by connecting healthcare experts from different geographical locations among the country and any part of the world. This article explains the journey of medical systems via electronic communication and their effectiveness to treat a patient from distance.
