ABSTRACT

The goal of this paper is to construct a smart device that is robust but automatic and is suitable for temperature (T) and relative humidity (RH) controls in a poultry farm. The poultry device is named ‘HTC-PFM’ device, which stands for ‘Humidity and Temperature Controlling for Poultry Farm Monitoring’ device. Additionally, a photovoltaic (PV) power plant is planned for poultry farms to reduce electricity consumption from the main grid. Moreover, feasibility analysis (for solar irradiance, highest temperature, lowest temperature, and RH) had been done for 24 months (2018 and 2019) for Halishahar, Chittagong, and Bangladesh. After completing the solar PV power plant design, 3.5kW power will generate to fulfill the energy demand of poultry farms. More than that, the energy storage function will be available in this system, which will be used on gloomy/cloudy/dark days. However, an application had been developed for this poultry farm for easy access to the ‘HTC-PFM’ device. This work aims to create a comfortable thermal environment inside a poultry farm by using a smart poultry device to meet the electricity demand of the farm through a solar PV power plant, which improves the generation of renewable energy.
