ABSTRACT

In this paper, we have collected 14 kinds of data for maintenance projects in 6 sections of 4 cities, mainly including plant cold recycling of asphalt pavement, cold in-place recycling of asphalt surface course, asphalt surface course + asphalt pavement base or full-depth recycling of pavement base, plant cold recycling of pavement base material, plant hot recycling and warm recycling of asphalt surface course, cold in-place recycling of asphalt surface course. Based on the analysis of the energy efficiency data of the above research objects, LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) indirect model is established to evaluate the carbon emission intensity of the recycling technology of asphalt pavement. The evaluation results show that in terms of input-output energy efficiency, the plant hot recycling scheme is the highest, the hot mix modified asphalt and base asphalt are next, the plant warm recycling and plant cold recycling are similar and the cold in-place recycling is the worst.
