ABSTRACT

In this paper, a new type of backfill material for gravity platform, that is, liquid soil, is proposed, considering the influence of different water content, cement content, age and additives, the road performance of liquid soil material was tested in laboratory,including fluidity, density and shrinkage tests. According to the test results, the density range of the liquid soil material is 1.35g/cm³ ~ 1.41g/cm³, which has good light weight; the water content has a relatively large influence on the shrinkage of the liquid soil. In contrast, the cement content has a little influence on the shrinkage; the flow performance of liquid soil with water content of more than 45% meets the construction requirements, and the cement content and mineral powder content have little impact on the fluidity. Medium sand can greatly improve the fluidity of the liquid soil and reduce the water content at the same time. The water content is fixed between 40% and 41% after using the water reducing agent.
