ABSTRACT
Aseptically processed finished products can be filled into containers of varying compositions and of different shapes and sizes—portion packs for single use, bulk containers for food service, and larger bags, drums, totes and commercial tankers for industrial markets. Aseptically processed products packaged in bulk are used for further reprocessing and packaging, or direct portion-packaging without reprocessing. The recent market intelligence data point to an approximate 80% to 20% volume split between aseptic bulk versus aseptic retain packaging, respectively.
