ABSTRACT

Two-dimensional (graphene) monolayers have been invented not to exist until 2004, when the common knowledge has been demonstrated by the discovery of graphene. Graphene research has exponentially accelerated because of its amazing properties which have attracted the interest of researchers all over the word. For example, among the key properties are its thermal, electrical conductivity, optical transparency and mechanical properties. The major challenges in developed for chemical, biological and medical applications are to produce stable, large quaintly and uniform dimension graphene by low cost simple methods. Depending on the application of the graphene, various methodologies for monolayer and multilayer synthesis have been accepted. This book chapter aims to facilitate synthesis of graphene via top down and bottom up approach.
