ABSTRACT

Graphene possesses remarkable electrical, optical and mechanical properties that have stimulated a vast amount of research in the fields of condensed matter physics, chemistry and materials science in recent years. However, the absence of an energy gap in the electronic band structure limits its practical applications in many applications. Therefore, it is essential not only to induce the bandgap but also to tailor the electronic properties of graphene in order to approach the high performance of the electronic and optoelectronic devices. In this chapter, we have discussed different methods for charge carrier modulation in graphene nanosheets.
