ABSTRACT

Today’s world is much dependent on conventional resources of energies such as fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, etc., which are exhausting very fast. Global warming is the consequence of using these resources to lay on the atmosphere with the emission of harmful pollutants, mainly carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which leads to greenhouse effects. This being the main area of apprehension, researchers have started looking for replacements for these non-renewable energy resources. With the current global energy transition under the way, mainly two primary renewable energy resource drivers have emerged: solar energy and wind energy. Much available resource amongst the two is solar, which can be easily converted into a useful form of energy by means of photovoltaic cells. In this context, the increased efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with the help of the selection of an appropriate polymer electrolyte will be observed.
