ABSTRACT
This chapter narrates the various applications of artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools to detect, diagnose, monitoring and assist treatment of the novel corona virus disease. There are several AI-based techniques to detect and diagnose the disease. Even X-ray and CT scan-based methods are well assisted by AI methods to aid the diagnosis process. Other miscellaneous applications like drug development, health monitoring, blockchain technology-based self-assessment and expert systems-based diagnosis were also found to fight this new menace. So, a timely review of the early developments to assist disease detection, monitoring and treatment was required. Hence, a consolidated survey is presented in this chapter to aid future researchers to work on and develop new methodologies to help the society from this lethal virus that has already killed millions of lives in the world. Even some futuristic directions have been suggested to fight against this new virus.
