ABSTRACT
Event and tourism as an industry had an impact on destinations and on the local community. Tourism is the act of traveling to different places to satisfy their preferred hobby, satisfaction, and excursion. As the number of visitors overall is expanding, so their desires and requirements for unique experiences is also increasing. And there comes the role of events and its significance in modern tourism. Events are one of the most imperative parts of tourism. In fact, the presence of event tourism could create an economic development and may even deliver constructive outcome in the general public. There are different sorts of events in the Asia composed particularly for engaging and pulling in vacationer, and there are all the more emerging each year. This chapter focuses on the significance and role of events in present tourism industry and development of event tourism in coming future. In the momentum section, a few cases, articles, and research papers from the event tourism literature and their outcomes are considered.
