ABSTRACT
Marriage is one of the most notable moments for humans regardless of their social status. Stylish, high ended, and expensive weddings have become a passionate issue in Malay modern society. This study determines that the ever-growing desires of the 21st-century bride and groom could be a factor of pricey consumption activities of commodities and services to fulfil the dream wedding, brides are highly desirous in realizing their unique wedding dreams caused the waste of money. The traditional way in planning and executing a wedding ceremony that used to be anchored in religion and frugal value is currently facing massive challenges due to the trendy and high-cost wedding dream concept. The modern Malay community facing a wedding expenses issue following the existence of various new kind of preparations, including the demand of customer wants, needs, and trends. Thus it could influence the managing of expenditure by not prioritizing matters that might be the source of expenditure.
