ABSTRACT

This paper presents the design of a wideband medical-grade antenna that operates at 300–440 MHz. The proposed design has been successfully shown operating in the desired Medical Device Radio Communications Service band application. The design is unique in its style to accomplish antenna miniaturization. The antenna proposed has dimensions of 18 mm × 10 mm × 1.6 mm. The substrate has been used in Epoxy FR4 (Dielectric constant 4.4). It provides good bandwidth of 140 MHz, which can be good for medical applications. The proposed antenna provides sufficient bandwidth as well as radiation characteristics for desired medical applications.
