ABSTRACT
Dams act as a good source of water for irrigation, industrial requirements, generating hydroelectricity, and daily needs. They act as a natural habitat for various aquatic species. The water available in these resources are a source for various fundamental activities. Presently, there is a need to preserve the water and ensure proper and well-administrated water management. The smart reservoir management system makes use of the Internet of Things. In the event of a natural calamity such as a flood, due to a rise in the level of water in dam the smart system generates an alert automatically, thereby ensuring that the natural calamity does not affect the lives of people. This paper presents the design of an alert system that can predict rainfall in a particular zone as well as suggests crops that can be cultivated in that area.
