ABSTRACT

This paper proposes the designing of a differential amplifier using two separate technology nodes. The differential amplifier is the fundamental building block in the designing of analog ICs and it controls many of the performance parameters of an IC such as Gain, the product of Gain and bandwidth, and Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR). In this paper, high gain differential amplifiers have been designed on 180nm and 90nm. The simulated results are obtained by using the Cadence Virtuoso and based on these results comparison is made between the two differential amplifiers which are designed on different technology nodes.
