ABSTRACT

Every physician needs an accurate and timely diagnosis of inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity by a non-invasive method in a convenient form and without harmful effects on the body. At the same time, the polymorphism of clinical symptoms in combination with atypical manifestations of the disease imposes errors due to the method of conducting the study and subsequent hardware processing of the thermographic picture. Authors carried out a comparative metrological analysis of various methods of implementation of the thermographic studies in this chapter. They considered such factors as thermal imager resolution, thermal sensitivity, noise level (signal-to-noise ratio), affecting the quality of the resulting thermal image.
