ABSTRACT
In this chapter, mainly principles along with procedures in regard to data mining as well as process mining are discussed along with their disparities and similarities. The authors have studied and analyzed the research in the area of education along with the strategies of data mining. Various instances/examples with illustrations are presented in this chapter to solve different problems via data mining as well as process mining strategies in the field of e-learning along with education. Various possible scenarios along with shortcomings of different strategies are illustrated here. A number of specific examples pertinent to the software utilized in data mining as well as process mining have been illustrated in the chapter. A summarized review of some main scientific conferences along with journals related to data mining research involved in the educational field have been presented in the chapter.
