ABSTRACT

A moderate and suitable temperature is required on this planet Earth for survival and living. The absorbing of IR radiation and trapping the heat in the atmosphere and increasing the natural greenhouse effect is termed global warming. The level of greenhouse gases (GHG) has been raised because of anthropogenic activities. Carbon dioxide capture and storage is an efficient and quick way these days to diminish the level of carbon to achieve the low carbon content in the atmosphere. CO2 is a major GHG for heat-trapping. The phenomena of physical adsorption possessed by porous materials are effective for capturing CO2. Several kinds of sorbents have been explored for CO2 capturing such as amine solutions, porous carbons, zeolites, metal–organic frameworks and porous organic polymers.
