ABSTRACT

Human beings are tempted to live longer and make efforts to seek successful drugs, devices and therapies to help life remain pleasurable. Biomaterials are used in safe, convenient, economically and physiologically appropriate ways to create devices. In the diagnosis of disease or damage, a number of tools and materials are being used. Elements of medicine, genetics, chemistry, tissue engineering and materials science are protected by biomaterial science. The modern biomaterials in medical applications are artificial tissues or organs development, and construction of novel delivery systems. During surgical simulation, the 3D model is also superior to mere 3D visualization ad hoc judgements to circumvent unpredictable intraoperative issues, nanoparticles in biomedical applications, including cancer treatment, diagnosis, cardiovascular, brain disorders, antibacterial treatment, etc. The innovation of robotic capsular endoscopes are really a blessing for inspecting gastrointestinal tract non invasively. This chapter also addresses recent trends in the nano rubbery arrangement of chitosan and its biomedical applications in different tissue engineering, wound dressing, drug delivery and antimicrobial delivery systems.
