ABSTRACT
Estate development, one of the most interesting types of landscape objects on historical territories. The historical Tsarskoselsky uyezd of the Saint Petersburg province is a unique phenomenon of territorial development, on the territories of which objects of special significance are concentrated, both manor, industrial, temple and military subjects. There are all types of manor buildings – Imperial, Grand-Ducal, and noble estates, and the example of the County makes it possible to trace their development and specifics. This article analyzes the typological and functional planning features of suburban Imperial and Grand Ducal Palace and Park ensembles of the Tsarskoye Selo district in the period before 1917.
