ABSTRACT
The article examines the zoning projects of urban territories and their evolution in Armenia, which today have become the most effective way of implementation, detalization on the ground and practical application during the process of construction itself of the main directions and goals of the master plans and land management documentation of settlements. The features and main points of the formation of this new direction of design activity for the country, providing a comprehensive solution which sets mandatory requirements for the land use and functional use (functional zoning), landscape organization (landscape zoning) and development (construction zoning) all over the world are considered.
