ABSTRACT

The article describes the specifics of the organization of ecotourism complexes as one of the most popular touristic activities nowadays. It has been found that mass ecotourism does irreparable harm to the environment. That is why a set of rules for the relevant infrastructure should be conceived. The author notes that glamping hotels, which appeared during the last decade, meet the requirements for ecotourism complexes the most since they are distinguished by the restricted number of tourist groups, minimization of harm done at construction and operation of the complex, engagement of the local community, development of the territory due to additional services. Further research on the typology of ecotourism complexes (currently non-existent) is planned.
