ABSTRACT

The article contains analysis and methodological foundations for the creation of new urban planning structures that continue the development of historical cities. The principles of using the identification features of historical cities are considered, which should be taken into account when creating new development areas, with the possibility of forming new public spaces in newly created areas of the city. The use of the identification features of historical cities contributes to the integrated development of territories, but also allows saturating the urban environment with service functions and jobs. Attracting city residents from the center to new districts makes it possible to create investment attractiveness of the new districts.
