ABSTRACT

Small Architectural Forms (SAF) traditionally play a large role in the context of dense urban development. They create the necessary transitional link from a large architectural form to the scale of man. However, not always worthy attention was paid to this side of design. This paper shows how the attitude towards the creation of small architectural forms in the modern architecture of St. Petersburg in the 2000–2010s has changed. We will also follow the general evolution of their form and materials on the example of the author’s real design practice in recent.
