ABSTRACT

The article examines the impact of sudden failures on the efficiency of transport and technological machines in construction (excavators, bulldozers, transport equipment, etc.). A model of the influence of sudden failures on the efficiency of the machine has been developed. The conditions for applying the model assume the division of machines into groups. The first group includes machines whose loading periods alternate with downtime. The second group includes machines operating in the technological chain with other equipment and determining the rhythm of work. The intensity of the use of other groups of machines occupies an intermediate position between these groups. The proposed model allows to choose such a level of equipment reliability, which will ensure minimum total losses or maximum profit. The article presents the analysis of methods for reducing downtime in the event of a sudden failure of machines and recommendations for the application of options for organizing work that reduce negative consequences of failures.
