ABSTRACT

The article deals with current issues of creating reliable and at the same time optimal designs of the new hotel complex “HILTON” in Batumi. On the example of the complex under construction, the question of the optimal connection between function and form, as well as the strength, stability, reliability and cost of the building, considering the complex hydrogeological and seismic features of the construction site, is considered. The analysis allowed to determine and create new and optimal architectural forms and dimensions, considering the design features of the framework of the whole complex and considering the hydrostatic pressure of water. The changes made to the design part of the project improved not only the strength characteristics of the buildings, but also favorably affected the architectural appearance of the entire complex as a whole. The paper discusses options for architectural, planning and design features based on the corresponding computer models, and presents the results of strength calculations. Based on the analysis of the stress-strain state of different variants of the complex, the most acceptable configuration of both architectural and structural features of the supporting frames and selection of foundations were established, considering the hydrostatic pressure of water.
