ABSTRACT

Nowadays the most effective method for determination of Earth’s crust modern kinematics on global and local levels is GNSS method. In 2013 National Academy of Science of the Republic of Armenia started a project of GNSS permanent network installation over Armenia territory. All 6 stations are located near main active faults of Armenia and covers almost all Armenia's territory. To introduce global reference frame to our network we used 9 permanent GNSS stations of International GNSS Service. Directions and values of obtained horizontal stations velocity vectors, are in good consistency with global data and confirmed movement of studied territory to the North-East direction, due to convergence of Arabia plate under Eurasia tectonic plate. Vertical components of the velocities of processed stations, showed depression of stations BAVR and NAVR, and uplift of stations VANN and AIGS. IGS stations ARUC and stations LCHA and VARD are remaining stable in vertical plane.
