ABSTRACT

This paper aims to develop cost effective wastewater treatment technology for some industrial wastewater treatment. The main methods of wastewater treatment and desalination of mineralized water have been studied. Using the principles of studied technologies a new engineering development, for some industrial wastewater treatment has been suggested to obtain pure water and concentrate. Not only process efficiency, but also wastewater treatment costs are discussed. Carefully carried out thermal design enables to assess the effectiveness of the proposed technology. A three unit scheme was investigated: 1) solar photovoltaic elements unit, 2) dusting chamber, 3) heat exchanger unit. In this paper, the potential of the new technology application is presented by the example of the brandy and wine factory. It has been shown that in case condensation of distillery dreg, the factory may not only avoid going to great expense, but also earn an additional profit.
